How to prevent complications?

To avoid complications it is imperative:

  • Respect the stages of adaptation in an ophthalmologist specialized in contactology
  • Make sure your optician respects the prescription of your ophthalmologist
  • Respect the hygiene measures
  • Respect the rules of prudence

The strict respect of these recommendations contributes to significantly reducing the frequency of complications that can be observed when wearing lenses.

Let us recall them:

  • Wash and dry hands when laying and removing
  • Respect of the renewal frequency of lenses
  • Care solution adapted to the type of lenses you wear
  • Daily and complete renewal of the solution in the case, previously emptied, dried and left open in the open during the day
  • Regular renewal of the case that will be supplied with each bottle of cleaning solution
  • Never contact lenses and cases with fresh water
  • In the presence of an abnormal sign such as a red and irritated eye or a visual embarrassment under lens, or the appearance of secretions, remove your lenses and consult your ophthalmologist (Do not forget to bring your case and your lenses at the appointment).

It is essential to support the recommendations of your prescriber and consult the instructions for use of your lenses.

The overall risk of infection is greatly reduced by scrupulously following the hygiene and wearing instructions.
