The Moroccan Society of Ophthalmologists Contactologists and Ocular Surface (SMOCSO) was born on July 2, 2012. Its goal is to promote the development of Contactology and Ocular Surface in its main-specialty Ophthalmology, while working to better recognize the rights of patients requiring care, as well as better information to the general public in this area. This association aims to :

• Promote and develop Contactology; and deepen knowledge of ocular surface pathologies within their parent specialty (Ophthalmology) Encourage and support Ophthalmologists who wish to train in this discipline and provide them with tutoring and continuing education.
• Communicate to the public through the media at our disposal and the creation of a website about contact lenses and diseases of the ocular surface Inform Public Opinion on the rules of good use of the different types of lenses contact and the potential dangers of certain practices.
• Improve health insurance coverage for patients whose contact lenses are the best medical solution.
• Contribute to the ongoing training of medical staff in the fields of contactology and ocular surface pathologies, while establishing partnerships with other professionals involved in these areas
